Over the past 20 Years plus, I was in involved in numeruous types of projects, ranging from Infrastructure Works to High Rise Buildings.

In 2006, along with Barry Amoroso, we undertook the re-design of Two Bridges for CCC in Grenada. This involved the replacement of the In-situ Structures with Prestressed Beam Structures. The design was done using the "INTEGRATED BRIDGE DESIGN CONCEPT"
“Integrated Bridge Design" is a technique in which the two major numerical processes in bridge design are brought together. This means that the process of code checking structural components ("Design") and the process of analyzing the structure for moments and shears ("Analysis") communicate in a very structured way.
The concept is very obvious: the beam design has full information of all the beam's self weights and member properties and we generate tables of moments and shears. Analyses of the bridge structures require section properties; so we input into the analysis program (STAAD), weight and section property data from the design program, and generate moment and shear results.
